In this article will see how to estimate task , Actual hours in planner.

Using Microsoft planner we can create

  • Sprint
  • Product Backlog
  • User Stories
  • Daily Scrum meetings
  • In charts section we can have Sprint burn down Chart.

To Add Estimated time , actual time against each task we need to add on chrome plugin i.e Estimations Plugin for Microsoft Planner

Install above plugin in chrome browser. This plugin will provide you the estimated hours for individual task, Total estimated hours for all task in that project, Actual hours for task, Sum of Actual hours for all task.

You need to add original estimated hours in round brackets in task title. for example if you are working on task “Divide Two Numbers” and estimation for this task is 12 hours and actual hours required are 14 then in Task title you need to write like this ” (12) Divide Two Number [14] “.

Addon will read round bracket value as original estimation and square bracket value as actual estimations. If actual estimation increases then you need to simply edit the square bracket value.

Addon will show you sum of original and actual efforts logged for individual and all task available in various bucket like in progress, completed , to do.
