Senior Database Developer

As a key member of our development team, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of our Postgres database solutions along with MS SQL Servers.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with Postgres databases in complex environments and possess strong leadership skills to guide and mentor other team members.

• Lead the design, development, and optimization of Postgres database solutions to meet business requirements and performance goals.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements, propose solutions, and implement database designs.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to backend and front developers, ensuring best practices and standards are followed.
• Perform database administration tasks, including monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to ensure the integrity, security, and availability of databases.
• Design and implement database backup and recovery strategies to minimize downtime and data loss.
• Conduct performance tuning and optimization of SQL queries, indexes, and database configurations to improve application performance.
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and auditing.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in database development and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with other teams to integrate database solutions with applications and systems, ensuring seamless functionality and data consistency.
• Create and maintain database schema, SQL queries, stored procedures, database indexes or other database-related artifacts.
• Document database design, architecture, and configurations, as well as processes and procedures for database administration and maintenance.
